Ringleader ("we") runs a missed-call text-back service for home service businesses. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.
What we collect
- From people who call a business that uses Ringleader: your phone number, the time of your call, the texts you send and receive in that conversation, and your name if the business adds it.
- From businesses that use Ringleader: the business name, the owner's name, phone number and email, business hours, and the messages they choose to send.
How we use it
- To send one text after a missed call and carry on the conversation you started with that business.
- To show that conversation to the business you called, so they can reply and help you.
- To ask you a few questions about the job by text (like your name, the address, how urgent it is and when works for you) and send the business a short summary. These questions are written by an AI assistant.
- To honor STOP requests and keep a record that you called first.
Who we share it with
- The business you called, so they can answer you.
- The phone company we use to send and receive texts (Twilio), only to deliver the messages.
- The AI company we use to write the job questions and summary (Anthropic). It only receives the texts in your conversation with the business, only to write the next question. Under its business terms, Anthropic does not use these messages to train its AI.
- Anyone the law requires us to share it with.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties. We do not sell personal information.
Text messages
You get a text only after you call a business that uses Ringleader and the call isn't answered. Message frequency varies with your conversation. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts at any time, START to turn them back on, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The full rules are in our terms.
How long we keep it
We keep conversations while the business uses Ringleader, so they can see their history. A business can ask us to delete its data at any time. You can ask us to delete yours by emailing us.
Keeping it safe
The dashboard is password protected, and we only accept messages that really come from our phone company. No system is perfect, but we work to keep your information safe.
Children
Ringleader is a service for businesses and is not meant for children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
